As a single mom of two navigating co-parenting, restful sleep often feels out of reach. Like many parents, I support co-sleeping if it works, but I also value having personal space, something my toddler doesn’t quite grasp yet.
During one of my late-night searches in December for ways to encourage my toddler to sleep independently, I discovered the Sleepyhead Grand. We had used the Sleepyhead Deluxe when he was a baby, which had been invaluable for helping him transition from my arms to his own bed. However, I hadn’t realized there was a larger, toddler-sized version.
Just before Christmas, knowing a house move was coming and routines would be disrupted, I ordered the Sleepyhead Grand. The moment I unpacked it, my toddler was thrilled, immediately asking for his “bonket” (blanket) and “bop bop” (milk). This was the beginning of our journey back to better sleep and a sense of normalcy.
We even took it along to the grandparents’ home over the holidays, keeping bedtime routines consistent thanks to its portable design. Now that we’re home, bedtime feels calmer. Its cushioned sides prevent him from rolling out of bed, and on nights when he joins me, he stays nestled in his own cozy space instead of sprawling across me. With various stylish prints available, it even doubles as a pirate ship when he plays with his older brother.
