Inspired by nature, the Chantecaille Bébé collection introduces a line of pure, plant-based, organic skincare and bath products. Olivia Chantecaille, Creative Director of Chantecaille, shares the inspiration behind this range.
Growing up surrounded by the world of beauty, Olivia was deeply influenced by her family’s work in cosmetics. However, her perspective on skincare shifted after the birth of her daughter in 2013. During moments like bath time and baby massages, she noticed a gap in the market for baby skincare products as meticulously formulated as those she used herself. This realization sparked her desire to create trustworthy, safe, and high-quality skincare for babies.
Understanding that a baby’s skin is much thinner and more sensitive than adult skin, Olivia chose Wild Moss Rose as the main ingredient for its calming and soothing properties. Babies are exposed to irritants due to their underdeveloped protective skin layer, and Wild Moss Rose helps their skin adjust to these new surroundings.
Babies’ skin lacks some of the structural resilience of adult skin, making it harder for them to regulate body temperature and retain moisture. This inspired a line focused on hydration, soothing, and protection using organic botanicals, each product COSMOS certified to assure parents of its purity and safety. The Bébé line is dermatologically tested, free from allergens like gluten, soy, and wheat, and contains no phthalates, SLS, or dyes. A natural scent of orange blossom and mandarin essential oils enhances the gentle experience.
The Bébé collection includes Wild Moss Rose Body Lotion, Flower Petal Hair and Body Wash, Orange Blossom Face Cream, and Apricot and Tamanu Body Oil. With charming illustrations of animals that naturally appeal to children, the design reflects a playful love for animals and nature.
Additionally, Chantecaille plans to release a versatile Bébé balm for the entire family in the coming spring. The collection is available at Liberty London.
